Hardcover, no DJ. Wirth Brothers, 1957, first edition. Inscribed, signed and dated (Jan. 1958), by the author, on the verso fo the frontispiece. In very good condition, boards have moderate endgewear and bumping, previous owner markings on bottom and foredges of pages, front end paper is missing, text and illustrations are bright and clena except for toning to pages 130-131 probably from a sheet of hightly acidic paper having been laid in at some point in time. Details and stories of some of the famous cattlemen of the Old West. Includes details on branding, roundups, stampedes, range conditions, buffalo, Inidians, and the background for some of our modern rodeo events. Adams, Rampaging Herd, #363.
