Text is very much readable despite interior foxing. Congressional committee report on the elections in the Kansas Territory regarding the question of slavery, the question being put to the inhabitants of the territory due to the passage of the Kansas-Nebraska Act (1854) which repealed the Missouri Compromise (1820-21).
