Hardbound in tan library buckram, oversized. University of Wyoming, 1953-1955. In very good condition, minor library markings, some glue on spine, Montana Historical Society bookplate on back of front cover. Newsletter pages are in excellent condition, even the mimeographed pages that constitute Vol. 1, No. 1. Volume 1, Nos. 1, 2, 4, Volume 2, Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4 of the newsletters from the Wyoming Corral of the Westerners Society. Volume 1, No. 3 is missing from this series. Contains a brochure for the Second Annual All American Indian Days, August 7 and 8, 1954, Sheridan, Wyoming, sponsored by the Kalif Temple of the Shriners. Also contains several back-white photos, pasted in: Volume 1, No. 1, An Indian Burial. Volume 1, No. 2, Five Minutes Work (Buffalo hunting). Volume 2, No. 4, Charley Russell and Will Rogers. Volume 2, No. 1 contains a facsimile of an invitation sent to ex-Sheriff James Stirling to attend the execution of George A Black (for murder), scheduled for 11:00 AM, the 26th day of February, 1890. Volume 2, No. 3, Owen Wister. Photo "Wire Fencing" missing from Volume 2, No. 4. This series contains articles of history, contributions from members, letters, poetry (including some Bruce Kiskaddon items), book reviews, and brief biographies of some Wyoming notables. Some of the book reviews are quite noteworthy: contemporary reviews of "The Saga of Tom Horn" by Dean F Krakel, "Cow County Cavalcade" by Maurice Frink, "Six Guns and Saddle Leather" by Ramon Adams, "The Custer Myth" by Colonel William A Graham, just to name a few. The review of the Tom Horn book has the reviewer listed as a friend of Old Casey. A unique piece of local history.

This book covers the career of General Philip Sheridan after the Civil War in managing the Indian campaigns in the west.

Softcover. In good condition, cover shows wear, cover is loose but still attached, filled with inscriptions from schoolmates. 1945 Annual from Sheridan High School, Wyoming. This copy appears to have belonged to William "Junior" Cook who may have later been a banker in the Sheridan area. Photos, names, predictions for 10 years down the road. A few notes from the owner on what careers some people did choose.

Oversized hardcover. Self-published, first edition, 1977. In near fine condition, number 986 stamped on front endpaper, with a very good DJ, has some edgewear, chips and tears, now protected by mylar. Inscribed and signed by author on the title page. Inscription and signature are from two different pens suggesting the book was signed first, the inscription and date added for the owner. A history of coal mining in and around the Sheridan, Wyoming area. Included with the book is a copy of the author's obituary as published in the Casper Star Tribune. The author was born in 1906 and died January 4, 2000.
