This is a newspaper clipping date-line Claremont, OK, May 4, written by Ernie Pyle that discusses the newly opened (at that time) Will Rogers memorial. The reverse side of the clipping contains many want ads, mostly for apartment rentals, which prices ranging from $4.00 to $40.00. There is also a portion of Moon Mullins cartoon strip.

This is Southwestern Studies Monograph No. 25, and provides info from the newspaper articles at the time of his death and other historical references to the times and trouble they had, some of it related to the fact that Flo was a negress.

Has mylar cover and protective slipcase. The story of "Old Neutriment" (John Burkman), once a young soldier assigned to George Armstrong Custer, to care for his horses and dogs which Custer always kept with him. Burkman was one of the last to see Custer alive. Although Burkman could not himself, read nor write, he kept up a continuous correspondence with Elizabeth Bacon "Libby" Custer until the time of his death. This book includes an original clipping from a Billings Montana newspaper which talks about the book and the author.
